Here, There and in the Garden

I'm lazy. I know I should blog when I have snaps ready but when I'm working on wedding snaps (to come), sometimes I have to wait to blog. So, let's catch up for the month of April. ;)
Last weekend, Cyn and I spent the weekend with Laurie. We did the Seal Beach Run on Saturday and on Sunday, we walked to Seal Beach to have a look around. (Laurie lives in Naples- a short distance to Seal Beach.) The first two snaps were taken on the way to Seal Beach and the one below was taken from the Seal Beach Pier.

My niece Chloe (who lives in England) calls our backyard the garden, so I'm going to start calling it the garden. --- A few snaps from around the garden. ;)

This is a liquid amber bloom.

Our redbud in bloom.

El Rey Theatre { Todd Snider and Johnny Depp }

Last Friday, Brian and I drove to L.A. to see Todd Snider perform at the El Rey Theatre.
He was Great!! We had awesome seats and was able to take some pretty good snaps with my G6.

Now, the opening band was Bill Carter and his drummer for the night was---
Johnny Depp!

I swear Johnny was looking at me here...
... so I zoomed in and he WAS looking at me ;)
A nice surprise to see Johnny and we heard that Steven Tyler was also there that night but we didn't see him. It was a GREAT night!

Nixon Library { a continuation post }

About two weeks ago, Katie and Jim came to visit and we gave them a two day tour of the L.A. area. Seeing that So. Cal. had two presidential libraries, we headed to the one closest to our house. ;) Here are a few snaps taken at the Nixon Library.
