Downtown Los Angeles { walking 2 }

Last Thursday, I rode the Metrolink to L.A. and met up with my friend Antonio. What a gorgeous day it was! Blue, clear skies- perfect for walking around and taking snapshots. Here are a few of my favorites.

Of course we started at Union Station. :)

Then we hopped the Red Line, got off and walked and walked and walked...

On my blog, I like to post my favorites. If you would like to see the other pictures that didn't make the cut, visit my Picasa Web album at:

Brynnen Gets Married! {The Kid Next Door}

How wonderful it was to see the kid next door get married. Now, at 23 (almost 24) and 6'+, Brynnen is not a kid but, a wonderful, handsome man. We meet the Stutsmans when both of our families moved in next door to each other 23 years ago. Through the years, we have watched him and his sister, Lauren, grow up despite the fact THEY moved away several years ago. We were together for each milestone all the way to high school graduations. And now, there was a wedding. He picked a lovely bride, Lian Higgins, and on October 2nd under a HUGE, beautiful tree in Tujunga, they were wed. Armed only with my point and shoot, I took some snapshots. Here are a few of my favorites. To Brynnen and Lian: May you both feel the joy of this day forever. I love you both.

above: Ah, the 'kids'. Emily, Brynnen, Lauren, and Rachel.
below: Yup, that's me dancing with the Groom.

As kids, Rachel (my daughter) and Brynnen were 'buds'. Here are a few snapshots of them growing up...
Hot wheeling...
Riding their bikes to 'the mini desert'...
They went from bikes to snowboards and braces...
And here they are today. :)
